Bare Bliss Laser & Electrolysis Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal (LHR) Overview

Laser hair removal is a safe, effective, and long-lasting solution for unwanted hair. This advanced treatment uses focused light technology to target and destroy hair follicles, leading to smooth, hair-free skin. Whether you’re looking to reduce hair growth on your legs, underarms, face, or other areas, laser hair removal offers a precise and gentle alternative to shaving, waxing, or plucking.

How does LHR work?

During a laser hair removal session, a concentrated beam of light is directed at the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair, which converts the light energy into heat. This heat damages the follicle, inhibiting its ability to grow hair in the future. The process is repeated in several sessions to target hairs in the active growth phase, ensuring long-lasting results.

Who can get LHR?

Laser hair removal is suitable for most individuals, though ideal candidates have dark, coarse hair and lighter skin. Advances in technology have made it possible for laser hair removal to work on a variety of skin types and hair colors, though some lasers may be more effective for certain combinations. Our team will perform a consultation to assess your needs and determine the best treatment plan for you. NOTE: You cannot get laser hair removal over any tattoos.

Common Areas for LHR

  • Legs
  • Underarms
  • Bikini line
  • Face (upper lip, chin)
  • Back and chest
  • Arms

Does LHR hurt?

Laser hair removal is generally well-tolerated, but the sensation can vary depending on the area being treated and individual pain tolerance. Many describe the feeling as a mild snapping or tingling sensation. Topical numbing creams can be applied before the treatment to minimize any discomfort. Most clients find that the treatment is quick and manageable, with little to no downtime afterward.

Side Effects of LHR

Laser hair removal is generally safe, but like any procedure, it can have side effects. Here are some to be aware of:

Side Effects:

  1. Redness and Swelling: This is the most common side effect. It usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days after treatment.
  2. Skin Irritation: Mild irritation, including a rash or bumps, can occur in the treated area, similar to what you might experience after a waxing session.
  3. Pigment Changes: You might notice some lightening or darkening of the skin in the treated area, especially in people with darker or lighter skin tones.
  4. Crusting: In rare cases, small scabs or crusting can form on the skin.

These side effects are not permanent and will go away over time.

Why Choose Laser Hair Removal?

  • Safe and effective for long-term hair reduction
  • Minimal downtime and quick recovery
  • Precision treatment for various body areas
  • Reduce the hassle of shaving or waxing
